Special Vidio Talks at JAFF 2025
Film Pendek: Laboratorium Loncatan Ide, Kreatif dan Cerita Masa Depan

As part of its new brand initiative “More Than Entertainment,” Vidio reinforces its commitment to supporting young Indonesian filmmakers through the Vidio Film Competition, a platform that discovers short film ideas and provides production funding along with mentorship from leading industry figures. In collaboration with the Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival (JAFF), Vidio presents a Special Talks session titled “Short Films: A Laboratory for Ideas, Creativity, and Stories of the Future,” offering a space for young creators to explore how simple ideas can grow into impactful works that shape the future of Indonesian cinema.

Participants will dive into the craft of short filmmaking with the three mentors of the Vidio Film Competition: Khozy Rizal, who introduces short films as a space for creative experimentation and a gateway to the international stage; Mira Lesmana, who highlights how short films can reveal new talent and support long-term industry sustainability; and Yandy Laurens, who guides participants on how a short film can evolve into a feature-length project through strong story vision and character development.

This Special Talks session will also be a key moment to announce the winner of the Vidio Film Competition, attended by the competition’s jury members Shanty Harmayn and Yosep Anggi Noen, who will be present for the announcement.
