Synopsis
Sinopsis
Lika, a teenager obsessed with uncovering the truth about a mysterious entity known as T e k a t é, sets out to prove its existence through an amateur documentary. After watching a film about Tekaté, a mythical creature from Greek mythology once worshipped in pagan beliefs, his obsession grows uncontrollably. He dives deep into online search, books, and eventually attempts a ritual deep within the forest. Unknowingly, his search triggers consequences far beyond control, the truth has chosen him.

Fransiskus Antonius Mahendra
Frans Mahen is an aspiring Indonesian filmmaker whose horror short Tekaté (2025) was an Award Finalist at the Oregon Screams Horror Film Festival (Fall 2025) and the Atlanta After Dark Film Festival (Fall 2025) in the United States. The film also won 1st Place at the Teras Sinema Screening at Universitas Indonesia, judged by filmmaker Eric Tiwa, and was officially selected by the Lift-Off Global Network – Filmmaker Sessions Vol. 9 (UK) to be streamed worldwide on Vimeo On Demand for a limited time.
Currently pursuing a degree in Multimedia Broadcasting at Universitas Indonesia, Mahen is interning as a writer at Amadeus Sinemagna, a production company known for its popular digital series and acclaimed comedy films.
His works include Menerima dan Diterima (2025), a documentary on disability and self-acceptance, and Sahur (2024), a dark thriller short about a man preparing an eerie sahur meal. In 2024, he founded DOS Media, a student-led platform producing short films and creative content.
Mahen was selected for the Bikin Cerita MaxStream Workshop (2023), mentored by filmmaker Ernest Prakasa, and appeared as an ensemble actor in Cek Toko Sebelah: The Musical (2022) by JakartaMovin.
