Mahde Hasan
Mahde Hasan is a reflective and visually keen filmmaker from Bangladesh. In 2017, his short film I Am Time was presented at the 69th Locarno Festival. The following year, in 2018, his film Death of a Reader was screened at the 71st Locarno Festival. He also participated in the Locarno Film Festival’s Open Doors Hub and received the CNC development grant for Sand City, his debut feature. Sand City premiered in the Proxima Competition at the 59th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, where it won the Proxima Grand Prix.
