Synopsis
Sinopsis
Eki, living by the landfill, searches for a memento to honor his late mother. Battling
the relentless rain, landslides, and looming threats from scavengers and machinery,
he fears her memory could be lost beneath the waste forever.

Amar Haikal
Amar Haikal is a Jakarta-based scriptwriter and director. His short film BISING (Chorus of The Wounded Birds) (2023) won the National Jury Prize at Minikino Film Week, earned a Best Short Narrative nomination at Festival Film Indonesia, and screened at international festivals including JAFF, Toronto Reel Asian, Busan Shorts, and was listed on the '100 Best Short Films of 2023' by Talking Shorts.
Recognized as one of Indonesia’s emerging directors, this year Amar presents his thesis short film, Anak Macan (My Plastic Mother).
