Synopsis
Sinopsis
You are alive as long as someone remembers your name. In a Syrian intelligence service prison, a university student witnesses, through the narrow food hatch of his cell, events that mirror the horrific reality of his nation. Hope is born, as prisoners keep alive the fading light of resistance in a world that has chosen to forget them.

Director's Biography
Biografi Sutradara
Sherwan Haji
Sherwan Haji, a Syrian-Finnish actor, writer, and director, graduated from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Damascus. He starred in Aki Kaurismäki’s The Other Side of Hope (2017), winning Best Actor at the Dublin IFF. In 2019, he was honored with the Asia Pacific Screen Awards Lab, and in 2020, he was selected for Berlinale Talents. Haji played a key role in Cairo Conspiracy (2022), which premiered at Cannes. He also serves on the committee of the International Film Production Fund New Dawn and is a member of the European Film Academy.
