Community Presentation III: Community Festival: Fostering Appreciation Through Collaboration

Spaces for appreciation begin with the gathering of two or three people, where a screen (regardless of its size) stands ready to display stories for reflection. In their evolution, these appreciation spaces ranging from alternative screens to a more communal scale in the form of festivals have become a key way film communities in Indonesia organize events. Community Presentation III discusses film communities that choose the path of appreciation and exhibition in the form of a festival. It explores how they manage and establish a proper and fitting space for their surrounding communities, without losing their grassroots spirit and while maintaining effective management in each of their initiatives.
