Synopsis
Sinopsis
An adaptation of Indonesia’s iconic young adult romance ADA APA DENGAN CINTA? (What’s With Love?), reimagined with a musical twist. The film follows 17-year-old Cinta, whose name means “love” in Indonesian. Cinta’s life has always been perfect: a caring family, loyal friends, and admiration from everyone at school. But everything changes when she falls for Rangga, an outsider with a passion for literature. As their relationship grows and they realize the huge differences between their lives, Cinta’s friendships begin to break down, forcing her to choose between following her heart and staying loyal to her friends.

Riri Riza
Riri Riza is a leading voice in the new wave of Indonesian cinema. He began his career with the groundbreaking independent film Kuldesak (1998), co-directed with Mira Lesmana, Nan Achnas, and Rizal Mantovani. His critically acclaimed works—including GIE (2005), 3 Days to Forever (2007), The Rainbow Troops (2008), and Atambua 39°C (2011)—have been screened at prestigious festivals such as London, Busan, Rotterdam, Tokyo, and Berlin. His latest film, Sherina’s Adventure 2 (2023), was a major box office hit in Indonesia.
