DIRECTOR'S BIOGRAPHY
Sheungman Yim
Sheungman Yim is a Hong Kong-born British writer-director and CalArts MFA graduate. An alumnus of BIFAN and the IFA, where he studied under Abbas Kiarostami and Bernardo Bertolucci, his work explores diasporic identity and perception. His latest short, SightNotSeeing, premiered at IFFR 2026. Previous films screened at Göteborg, Clermont-Ferrand, and HKIFF; The Tide won the Fresh Wave Award.
