Si Damar is a community from Semarang that envisions being a place for student filmmakers to learn. Since its establishment in 2021, we have held several productions and film exhibitions. This community was established because there was a concern that there were not enough forums for students. Thus they made several programs, including Layar Tancap, workshops, film forums like Cineschool and FKSMS, and film productions to encourage collaborations, productivity, and knowledge exchange among filmmakers. Layar Tancap is bringing back public entertainment in Semarang, so the film can be more appreciated by the people. As a form of entertainment, this program can also be educational for the people.
