JAFF’s Cinematic Concert celebrates the meeting of two worlds: the raw energy of live music and the magic of the movie theater, creating an experience that is closer, warmer, and truly unforgettable.

White Shoes & The Couples Company (WSATCC) is a Jakarta-based pop sextet, formed in 2002, known for their unique “Indonesiana” sound. Their music blends influences from 1970s Indonesian film soundtracks, 1930s acoustic jazz, and classic Indonesian pop from the 1950s–1970s, paying homage to legendary composers like Ismail Marzuki, Guruh Sukarno Putra, Fariz RM, and Jack Lesmana. The band combines these retro elements with contemporary Jakarta life experiences, creating a sophisticated musical style that boasts a strong local identity and global appeal. The band has performed extensively on both the local and international stage. Their notable festival appearances include the Java Jazz Festival (2005), SXSW (2008), CMJ Music Festival (2008), MIDEM in Cannes (2012), Darwin Festival (2013), and documenta fifteen in Kassel (2022). They have played across Asia, Australia, Europe, and North America.
