Synopsis
Sinopsis
A documentary film, “Calabai Akan Terus Menari” follows the journey of a trans woman (Calabai) tracing the footsteps of the surviving Pajoge Angkong. The Pajoge Angkong dance is a folk entertainment dance performed by Calabai in the past, usually performed to enliven night markets held by order of the king, filling traditional events or public gatherings held at night. Meeting two Pajoge Angkong, Puang Corra and Haji Bunga, yielded many stories about their lives in the past.

Biografi Sutradara
Eman Memay Harundja
Born in West Sulawesi, she currently serves as Chair of KWRSS. Since 2007, she has been actively advocating for the rights of gender and sexual diversity groups within a human rights framework. She has extensive experience assisting with cases of SOGIESC-based violence. She has been involved in several social research projects and directed a documentary film, "Calabai Akan Terus Menari" (Calabai Will Continue to Dance), in 2024.
