Synopsis

Sinopsis

Uli (7), a child of Kalimantan’s karst caves raised in prehistoric traditions, is sent into the forest to prove the legends of his ancestors. But when he discovers traces of modern humans there, Uli must choose between believing the myths of his forefathers or accepting a new reality that could shake the identity of his tribe.

Mizam Fadilah Ananda

Mizam Fadilah Ananda is an Indonesian filmmaker who has been active in the industry since the mid-2010s. His career began behind the scenes, where he worked as a script supervisor and assistant director. Notably, he contributed to several productions, including Pertaruhan (2017), Love for Sale (2018), Mantan Manten (2019), and Nanti Kita Cerita Tentang Hari Ini (2020).
His consistency and strong work ethic led him to become First Assistant Director on major films such as Love for Sale 2 (2019) and Mencuri Raden Saleh (2022).
In 2022, he made his feature film directorial debut with Tumbal Kanjeng Iblis, a horror film that established his voice as a filmmaker with a keen sense of atmosphere and suspense.
Mizam received the Best Short Film award at ACCFEST 2023.
