Hanna, an Indonesian woman, will marry her lover, Gurmeet, who is a man of Punjabi blood. Hanna and her family came to Gurmeet’s house to undergo the custom called haldi and apply henna to the bride’s hands. However, Hanna and Gurmeet realized that the two families continued to make scenes because Hanna’s family did not respect Punjabi customs or food. In contrast, Gurmeet’s family refused to forgive their actions and always looked down on Hanna and her family because they were Indonesian. Gurmeet and Hanna try their best to keep their families separate while getting along with each other. However, the debate and commotion continued during the traditional ‘haldi’ ceremony and culminated in the henna application, which turned into an event of cursing each other. One year later, on their wedding anniversary, Hanna and Gurmeet sat together on the bed, recalling the bitter incident.
