Synopsis

Sinopsis

Nyla has dreamed of becoming a professional soccer player, following in her late father’s footsteps since she was little. However, her mom does not let her. Nyla is forced to weave as a Sumbanese girl should. Her mom is also scared of losing Nyla after she lost her husband.

To fight for her dream, Nyla tries her best to get her mom’s consent. While weaving like her other friends, Nyla secretly practices soccer. Against all odds, Nyla and her team score a ticket for a national league in Jakarta. Pak Garda, their coach, tries a new method of combining weaving patterns into their practice. Their tenacity pays off. They head to Jakarta.

Although they lost, their spirit has inspired the whole Sumba people. As for Nyla, this is a step closer to achieving her dream.

Biografi Sutradara

Sigit Hermawan

Sigit Hermawan, born on August 1, 1979, is a creative professional with extensive experience in the animation industry. A graduate of Visual Communication Design from the Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Yogyakarta, he began his career in animation in 2003. He has been involved in various national and international animation projects, including the film Sing to the Dawn and popular television series such as Franklin and Friends and Handy Manny.
