SYNOPSIS
Salim, an eight-year-old boy, tries to give his parents an anniversary gift despite their modest circumstances. A trip to the city with his father leads him to meet Fadia, a young girl who opens his eyes to loss, ownership, and affection. Through this journey, Salim learns to understand love from a different perspective, discovering that even amid limitations, love can continue to blossom in the simplicity of everyday life.

DIRECTOR'S BIOGRAPHY
Arief Malinmudo
Arief Malinmudo is an Indonesian film director and screenwriter from Bukittinggi, born on September 28, 1990. He is known for his films Surau dan Silek (2017), Liam dan Laila (2018), and Perjalanan Pertama (2022). His works explore Malay-Minangkabau culture and have gained international recognition at various film festivals and prestigious universities worldwide. In October 2026, Arief completed filming his fourth feature film, titled Piala Emas.
