Synopsis

Sinopsis

Munawaroh, a village midwife, secretly cares for Mira, a former prostitute shunned by the community. As Mira’s pregnancy progresses, she becomes increasingly anxious about her safety. One evening, Mira collapses at a women-only village gathering, where Munawaroh pretends not to know her to protect her standing among the conservative women. However, when the situation becomes life-threatening, Munawaroh faces a moral dilemma: help Mira deliver her baby in front of the villagers or preserve her reputation.

Biografi Sutradara

Guruh Nusantara

Guruh Nusantara completed his studies in Film and Television at Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta. Guruh also participated in script development workshops such as Indonesiana Film Workshop 2021, Jogja Script Lab 2022, and Sinema 5 Short Film Lab 2023. Guruh is currently developing his next short film project with Dewang titled TERANG BULAN, where the script has been designed and received the best award at Jogja Script Lab 2022. Guruh also directed the short film THOSE WHO CHOOSE TO BE WRONG (2017) and wrote for the short films KUNDURAN (2019), DERANA DARA (2019), NALA (2023), and THE SWALLOWING SEA (2023)
