SYNOPSIS
Amelia, a 12-year-old Chinese-Indonesian girl, has learned a tradition where women who have received their period must not wash their underwear with men’s clothes, or the men will face bad luck. Her mother upholds this tradition, even though her father often beats her. Amelia then decides to save herself and her mother by using a witchcraft method she learned to summon her period early.
