DIRECTOR'S BIOGRAPHY
Tan Yucheng
Tan Yucheng is a Chinese film director. His work examines the emotional undercurrents and existential dilemmas beneath the surface of everyday life. His first short, Ni’er, adopts a highly distilled, visual prose-poetry style to explore the silent struggle of a young woman caught between familial responsibility and self-awareness. The film was selected for the Generation 14plus Competition Section of the 76th Berlin International Film Festival.
