JAFF 19 SCHEDULE HIGHLIGHT TODAY AND TOMORROW, DECEMBER 2-3 2024

A series of exciting and entertaining programs still filling the Jogja-Netpac Asian Film Festival 19 (JAFF 19), which runs until December 7, 2024. For today and tomorrow, here are some highlights to look forward to.

In the screening program, several highly anticipated films are scheduled for today. Among them is All We Need is Time by Teddy Soeriaatmadja. This family drama, centering on its main character, Ombak, a suicide survivor, will have its world premiere at Empire XXI Studio 1 at 7:45 PM. From Vietnam, Viet and Nam by director Trương Minh Quý, which has been banned in its home country, will have its Indonesian premiere. This heart-wrenching love story between two men set against Vietnam’s dark historical setting will screen at 12:30 PM and 7:30 PM at Empire XXI Studio 2.

Celebrating 25 years of Dian Sastrowardoyo’s eminent career, her short films Daybreak, Kotak, and Quarantine Tales-Nougat will be screened at Empire XXI Studio 3 from 1:00–2:00 PM. Additionally, the legendary feature film that skyrocketed her fame, What’s With Love?, will be shown from 6:00–8:00 PM at Empire XXI Studio 3.

HIGHLIGHT FOR TOMORROW, DECEMBER 3 2024

Drama film from Japan & USA, Happyend, from Director Neo Sora will open the series of JAFF 19th’s screenings at 12.00 PM at Empire XXI Studio 2. Not to be missed is the screening of Sal Priadi’s documentary, ZUZUZAZA TOUR at 14.00 PM at Empire XXI Main Stage. Also Kunto Aji X Sal Priadi’s cinematic concert at Empire XXI Studio 1, at 19.30 PM.

Held at Artotel Meeting Room Lotus 3 on Tuesday, December 3 at 10.00-12.00 PM, the public lecture The Art of Storytelling: Linking Film and Literature features acclaimed speakers such as writer Intan Paramaditha and producer-writer-director Gina S Noer, who will share their expertise.
