Community Forum Discussion: PIJAT SINGKAT UNTUK SINEMA SEHAT
“PIkiran Jadi kuAT ShootING meningKAT untuk Sinema Sehat”
The mind becomes strong, film producing increases, for a healthy cinema.
The film ecosystem has evolved over time through various movements, with the film community influencing and being impacted by each stage of development. Along the way, filmmakers continue to face both positive and negative aspects, particularly within the film community. It’s time to revive the essence of cinema, to restore the spirit that has long been suppressed or intentionally overlooked for the sake of a “healthy” cinema.
This program serves as a platform for film communities to engage in discussions and dialogues about the challenges and obstacles they encounter while participating in the film ecosystem. It aims to explore the evolution of cinema from one generation to the next, addressing issues in film production—from the hustle and bustle of welfare and working hours to the inequality and lack of collaborative spaces for community participation in the non-production side of the ecosystem.
Through organizing the Community Forum at JAFF #19, we offer a space for casual and brief discussions to reflect on and interpret the knowledge and experiences gained. Our goal is to identify areas for improvement and find ways to support the sustainability of a healthy cinema in the future.
