Biografi Sutradara
Ali Mehdi
Ali Mehdi is a Pakistani Quetta-born director. He started his career as a stop motion animator before working as the first AD and holding different positions in short films and documentaries.
His first short film 'Father’s Grave' (2018) received multiple awards. Ali developed his feature debut within the framework of the 2021 Busan Asian Film School before receiving a six-month fellowship from the Qalambaaz Screenwriting Lab. His short documentary 'In Zainab’s Heaven', winner of the Special Jury Mention at the Fribourg International Film Festival 2024, received the Hot Docs CrossCurrents International Doc Fund and the Sharjah Art Foundation's Short Film Production Grant.
