Synopsis
Sinopsis
On the edge of their parent’s separation. Jena and Cindy are forced to pick their custody. Instead of staying and listening to the severe fight between their parents, they wander around the neighborhood and the city they grew up with while reminiscing the memories of places of their childhood thinking they will leave the city soon. There, the different choices between the two unfolds, so do the ugly truth that starts all the quarrel in the first place.Â

Director's Biography

Rein Maychaelson
Growing up as a minority and growing up in many racial and political polemics in his country, makes him question a lot of things regarding his well being and his existence in the society he’s in. Family, social and political issues have always been his main topic in his work. His short films, Happiness of the Holy and Udin Telekomsel, both have been screened at Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival. In 2018, his short film, Errorist of Seasons won the Viddsee Juree Awards. Maychaelson was awarded as Rising Filmmaker in Popcon Asia 2018. This year, he continues to share his stories through a short film called ‘The Rootless Bloom’ who will be screened in 28th Busan International Film Festival, 2023. His feature debut project with title, ‘The Burning Land’ also won fellowship prize from South East Asia Film LAB.
