The Gesuidouz

Born on April 20, 1984, in Tokyo, he made his theatrical debut in 2016, directing the first feature film in the Japanese "GAL" genre, titled Ganguro Gal’s Riot. After that, he directed his second feature film, Good-Bye Silence, which depicts young people encountering music in a world where it is prohibited. Upon its release in 2018, the film enjoyed a long run in theatres. In 2019, he released his third feature film, Wild Virgins, in which a virgin man over the age of 30 transforms into a witch. This film was selected for many festivals, including the 38th Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival and the 40th Fantafestival.
In 2020, he released his fourth feature film, Rolling Marbles, which portrays women living in Tokyo. This film was created as the 15th-anniversary movie of the renowned magazine NYLON JAPAN and was selected for the Cinequest Film Festival. His series of short films, Extraneous Matter, has been screened at over 75 film festivals in 20 countries, winning more than 11 top awards. The Extraneous Matter - Complete Edition has been featured at the Torino Film Festival, the Montreal Festival du Nouveau Cinéma, and the Etrange Festival. His latest short horror comedy, Visitors, has been selected for over 35 film festivals, including the Porto International Film Festival | Fantasporto, the Leeds International Film Festival, the Slamdance Film Festival, the LA Shorts International Film Festival, and the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival. It won the top prize at the NY Shorts International Film Festival.
