Synopsis
Sinopsis
Tirja (29/M) teeters on the brink of despair after the business he inherited from his late father has crumbled. Meanwhile, his sister Marni (23/F) constantly berates him, viewing him as a burden on the family. As the first anniversary of their father’s death approaches, Tirja attempts to prove his worth by fishing in the river where he used to find solace from family troubles. However, the river harbors a deeper secret than he anticipated, and he frequently encounters a mysterious old man who presents him with an unexpected path forward.

Agung Jarkasih
Born in Bogor, Indonesia, on May 29, 1995, Agung Jarkasih discovered his passion for art early on, which led him into the world of audiovisual media. What began with creating birthday videos on his mobile phone soon evolved into a profound appreciation for the emotional and perceptual impact of visual storytelling. In 2013, he ventured into cinematography by founding the Bale Films community and produced his first short film in 2014. His work has been featured at various notable festivals, including the Brawijaya Movie Exhibition (2017), Andalas Film Festival (2018), Sewon Screening (2018), Cinecussion (2018-2023), IBESTFF-California (2018), Bucharest International Film Festival (2018), Inshort Film Festival (2018), Southeast Asia Short Film Festival (2019), Jakarta Film Week (2023), and CinemAsia-Amsterdam (2024).
