Public Presentation ruangrupa

Established in 2000 by a group of Jakarta artists, Ruangrupa is a non-profit contemporary art organization. The organization actively promotes the visual arts through a diverse range of initiatives, including exhibitions, festivals, art laboratories, workshops, and research. They also contribute to the discourse through books, magazines, and online journal publications.

Ruangrupa has transformed into a dynamic collective of contemporary artists and an integrated studio ecosystem. By collaborating with two long-term partner organizations, they’ve developed a shared space for public learning that embodies values such as equality, sharing, solidarity, friendship, and unity.
