Public Presentation Paguyuban Artistik Yogyakarta

Within the film industry, the artistic departement significantly contributes to bringing the mise en scene of a movie to life. Collaborative efforts in production, from the role of a production designer to the harmonious execution of artistic ideas tied to the film’s visuals, deem it an essential aspect. Paguyuban Artistik Yogyakarta, founded in 2021 under the “Kumpul Artistik” program, serves as a platform and a supportive network for artists, particularly in Yogyakarta, fostering connections with stakeholders in the Indonesian cinema. Ahmad “mbah” Zulkarnaen will share the formulation process of his ideas in two films showcased at JAFF, “13 Bombs in Jakarta” & “24 Hours with Gaspar.” The program will also discuss the role of an art director and their significant contribution to the mise en scene of a film.
