In the film industry, it’s not just about production and screening; appreciation for the individuals and groups behind and in front of the screen is also crucial. In Indonesia, there are various mediums for appreciation, such as film festivals and discussion forums. The Ministry of Education and Culture, as an institution that prioritizes education and culture, has established the Indonesian Film Appreciation program to honor numerous works created by Indonesian filmmakers.

Through this program, the Ministry of Education and Culture collaborates with Rangkai.id, an OTT platform, to showcase films on the platform. This collaboration focuses on community-made films, as many communities struggle to find platforms to exhibit their work. The Indonesian Film Appreciation program at the JAFF Community Forum aims to raise awareness among community members, to revive their creative spirits and encourage the production of new works.
