Mima Kirigoe is one third of chart-topping girl-pop group, CHAM! But she is keen to put the childish career of the pop singer behind her and pursue her dream of be-coming an actress. Her fans are skeptical however, and she quickly discovers that the transition is nowhere near as easy or enjoyable as she’d hoped…

After getting a part in a very adult murder mystery drama, her life takes a turn for the sinister. She uncovers a blog detailing her life in intimate detail, and as a real life begins to attack the people around her, delusion and reality blend into one and she begins to question her own identity.

Satoshi Kon

Born in Hokkaido in 1963, he graduated from Musashino Art University, College of Art and Design, Department of Visual Communication. He authored the manga “Tropic of the Sea” in 1990 and “World Apartment Horror” in 1991, both published by Kodansha. He transitioned to the animation world and made his feature film debut as a director with “Perfect Blue”. He continued on with acclaimed original films “Millennium Actress” in 2002, “Tokyo Godfathers” in 2003 and the TV series “Paranoia Agent” in 2004. He also released “Paprika” based on a novel by Yasutaka Tsutsui in 2006. His short animation “Ohayo” was aired on NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation) in 2007. He passed away from pancreas cancer at the age of 46 on August 24, 2010.
