DIMAS DJAYADININGRAT

Indonesia

Born in Jakarta, 24th August 1973.

Starts his creative works when he was 18 years old and still studying at Trisakti University majoring in Graphic Design, by freelancing as a graphic designer and photographer. The scope of his work at the time were cassette cover and band photographer. SLANK’s logo was one of his works.

In 1995, he started his career as an art director/production designer of music video productions. He carried out this profession for a year, until he achieved the Best Art Director from the Festival Video Musik Indonesia in 1996. The title opens his way in music video production.

In 1997, he became a music video director. Until 2005 he has produced more than 150 music videos and was awarded 2 international awards and 15 national awards.

In 2002, he directed a feature horror film, Tusuk Jelangkung, that the views reached 1.3 million viewers. From 2003 to 2005 he produced 3 feature films.

Then further in 2007 he directed Quickie Express, reached 1 million viewers and awarded as the Best Film in Jiffest.

From 2006 until today, he is focusing as a TV commercial director and working with various companies from aviation to ice cream!

Memulai kerja kreatif pada saat berumur 18 tahun dan masih kuliah di Universitas Trisakti

jurusan Desain Grafis, bekerja sambilan sebagai desainer grafis dan fotografer. Dan bidang yang dikerjakan pada saat itu adalah cover kaset dan fotografer band. Logo SLANK adalah salah satu karyanya.

Pada tahun 1995 memulai karir sebagai art director/production designer untuk produksi video musik. Profesi ini dijalani selama setahun. Hingga akhirnya mendapatkan gelar Best Art Director festival Video Musik Indonesia di tahun 1996. Gelar tersebut membuka jalan untuk terus berkarya di bidang produksi video musik.

Di tahun 1997, memulai karier sebagai sutradara video musik. Dan hingga tahun 2005 sudah menghasilkan lebih dari 150 video musik. Dan hingga tahun 2005 sudah dianugerahi 2 penghargaan internasional dan 15 penghargaan nasional.

Tahun 2002, menyutradarai film horror layar lebar, Tusuk Jelangkung, yang mencapai 1.3 juta penonton. Dan di tahun 2003 hingga 2005 memproduseri 3 layar lebar.

Selanjutnya tahun 2007 menyutradarai Quickie Express yang mencapai 1 juta penonton dan meraih Best Film Jiffest.

Di tahun 2006 hingga sekarang, berkonsentrasi di menyutradarai tv commercial berbagai perusahaan dari mulai penerbangan hingga es krim!

SHIREEN SENO

Philippines

Shireen Seno is an artist and filmmaker whose work addresses memory, history, and image-making, often in relation to the idea of home. She has had two solo exhibitions and is a 2018 recipient of the 13 Artists Award from the Cultural Center of the Philippines. Her photobook Trunks has been exhibited widely and is in the collection of the Asia-Pacific Photobook Archive. She started out in film shooting stills for Lav Diaz before going on to direct her debut feature, Big Boy (2012), which won Best First Film at the Festival de Cine Lima Independiente. Her second film, Nervous Translation (2018), premiered at Rotterdam in Hivos Tiger Competition, where it won the NETPAC Award for Best Asian Film. It also won the Critics’ Prize at Olhar de Cinema – Curitiba IFF, the Asian New Talent Award for Best Script Writer at Shanghai IFF 2018, Jury Special Mention at Pacific Meridian IFF of Asia-Pacific Countries in Vladivostok, and the Silver Hanoman at Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival. It screened at MoMA as part of New Directors/New Films and at Tate Modern as part of their Artists’ Cinema program. It was nominated for Best Youth Feature Film at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards and won awards in Best Sound Design at the Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) and Best Achievement in Editing and Best Sound Design and Aural Orchestration by the Young Critics Circle.

Shireen Seno adalah seorang seniman dan pembuat film yang memfokuskan karyanya pada memori, sejarah, dan pembuatan-imej seputar hal-hal yang terkait dengan ide sebuah rumah. Shireen pernah mengadakan dua pameran tunggal dan menerima 13 Artists Awards dari the Cultural Center of the Philippines pada tahun 2018. Photobooknya, berjudul Trunks, sudah dipamerkan dimana-mana dan menjadi koleksi the Asia-Pacific Photobook Archive. TAN CHUI MUI

Malaysia

Tan Chu Mui born 1978 in Kuantan. She is the first Malaysian filmmaker who invited to the Cannes Cinefondation Residency and she has won prestigious awards in international film festivals such as Busan International Film Festival, International Film Festival Rotterdam, Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival, and Obberhausen Short Film Festival. 

In 2005, she set up Da Huang Pictures and started the Malaysian New Wave. Mui initiated Next New Wave in 2015, a brand under NNW Films to design, organize, and mentor for filmmaking related workshop. Next New Wave aims to provide young and growing film talents in Malaysia an unprecedented platform to learn directly from renowned filmmakers in the region. Two years later, she started SeaShorts Film Festival.

Mui had also jury for International Film Festival Rotterdam, Busan Film Festival, Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival, Shanghai International Film Festival, Beijing Independent Film Festival, Hong Kong IFVA Award, Vladivostok International Film Festival etc.

At the moment, she is developing a few films, including a personal film called Barnaria Invasion and a love story called I Just Want You to Love Me.

Tan Chui Mui lahir pada tahun 1978 di Kuantan. Ia adalah pembuat film berkebangsaan Malaysia pertama yang diundang ke Cannes Cinefondation Residency dan memenangkan penghargaan bergengsi di festival film internasional seperti Busan International Film Festival, International Film Festival Rotterdam, Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival, dan Obberhausen Short Film Festival.

Di tahun 2005, ia mendirikan Da Huang Pictures dan memulai Malaysian New Wave. Mui mengawali Next New Wave di tahun 2015, sebuah label dibawah NNW Films yang bertujuan untuk mendesain, menyelenggarakan, dan menjadi mentor untuk lokakarya mengenai pembuatan film. Next New Wave bertujuan untuk menyediakan platform bagi talent muda dan berkembang di Malaysia untuk belajar secara langsung pada pembuat film terkenal di daerahnya. Dua tahun kemudian, ia mendirikan SeaShorts Film Festival.

Mui juga menjadi juri untuk International Film Festival Rotterdam, Busan Film Festival, Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival, Shanghai International Film Festival, Beijing Independent Film Festival, Hong Kong IFVA Award, Vladivostok International Film Festival, dll.

Sementara ini, ia sedang mengembangkan beberapa film, termasuk didalamnya adalah film pribadi berjudul Barnaria Invasion dan sebuah kisah cinta berjudul I Just Want You to Love Me.
