ANGGA SASONGKO

Director

Angga Sasongko is an Indonesian film director and the founder of Visinema Group, a studio and content development company. In 2014, Visinema’s debut production Cahaya Dari Timur: Beta Maluku, won The Citra Award for Best Picture in Festival Film Indonesia, the country’s most prestigious film award. His other films also gained recognition and appreciation both from Indonesian and international film industry, including Surat Dari Praha (2016), Indonesia’s official entry for the Academy Awards’ Best Foreign Language Film.


Angga Sasongko adalah sutradara berkebangsaan Indonesia yang menjadi pencetus Visinema Group, sebuah perusahaan studio dan pengembangan konten. Pada tahun 2014, debut produksi Visinema, Cahaya Dari Timur: Beta Maluku, memenangkan Piala Citra sebagai Film Terbaik di Festival Film Indonesia, yang merupakan ajang penghargaan film paling bergengsi di Indonesia. Film-filmnya yang lain juga mendapat pengakuan dan apresiasi di dunia perfilman baik di dalam maupun luar negeri, termasuk Surat dari Praha (2016) yang merupakan perwakilan film Indonesia untuk Best Foreign Language Film (Film Bahasa Asing Terbaik) di Academy Award.

EDDIE CAHYONO

Director

Born in Yogyakarta, this director has been active in independent film scene since 1999. Eddie Cahyono is the co-founder of Fourcolours Film—a Yogyakarta-based film community which then developed into a production house. He was awarded Penghargaan Konfiden in Festival Film-Video Independen Indonesia (FFVII) 2001 through his short film Antara Masa Lalu dan Masa Sekarang (2001), a film which was then screened in various international festivals. Eddie was awarded Penghargaan Konfiden again in Festival Film Pendek Konfiden 2007 with his film Jalan Sepanjang Kenangan (2007).

 


 

Lahir di Jogjakarta, 2 April 1977 dan lulus dari Media Rekam Institut Seni Indonesia, Jogjakarta. Mendirikan Fourcolours Films tahun 2001 dan mulai membuat film pendek yang memperoleh penghargaan, antara lain Film Fiksi Pendek Terbaik di Festival Film-Video Independen 2001. Tahun 2003 filmnya Bedjo Van Derlaak meraih Best Short Film di Bali International Film Festival. Tahun 2007 membuat film pendek berjudul Sepanjang Jalan Kenangan dan mendapatkan award untuk film terbaik di Festival Film Konfiden. Tahun 2014 menyelesaikan film keduanya berjudul Siti. Meraih penghargaan Best Script di Sanghai International Film Festival dan Naskah Terbaik Festival Film Indonesia. Film Siti diantaranya diputar di International Film Festival Rotterdam dan Telluride Film Festival.

MEISKE TAURISIA

After earning bachelor degrees in Architecture and Textile Design in her home country, she took an MA in Fashion, Design, and Strategy in the Netherlands. Recently, she earned her master degree in Public Policy, under the Faculty of Economy & Business at University of Indonesia. She entered film business in 2004, and co-founded babibutafilm in 2007. babibutafilm produced highly provoking independent films in Indonesia that challenged local censorship; therefore these films were never screened at commercial theater. The titles are Blind Pig who Wants to Fly (2008, Fipresci Award), Postcards from the Zoo (2012, Berlinale), Rocket Rain (2013, Karlovy Vary). In 2015, she produced three short films entitled The Fox Exploits the Tiger’s Might (Cannes), Following Diana (Toronto l), Love Story Not (Busan). In 2016 she produced a documentary film titled Cuts, premiered at IDFA.
In 2013 she initiated Kolektif, a film distribution platform that promotes independent film. Kolektif
partners with filmmakers and communities across Indonesia, and runs up to 250 film screening
activities in a year. In 2015, together with Edwin, she established Kinosaurus, an art house cinema that focuses on promoting film and its diversity for public in general. In 2016 she established Palari Films together with Muhammad Zaidy, and produced Possessive (2017, in post-production) and Vengeance is Mine, All Others Pay Cash at APM 2016 that won the Busan Award for the most promising project; both are directed by Edwin. Palari Films strives to produce quality films and at the same time releases them in commercial theater.


Setelah mendapatkan gelar sarjana Arsitektur dan Desain Tekstil di tanah airnya, Meiske melanjutkan program MA di bidang Fesyen, Desain, dan Strategi di Belanda. Baru-baru ini ia menamatkan studi S2 Kebijakan Publik di Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Indonesia. Ia mulai memasuki bisnis perfilman pada tahun 2004 dan turut mendirikan babibutafilm pada tahun 2007. babibutafilm memproduksi film-film independen Indonesia yang sangat provokatif yang menantang kebijakan sensor di negara ini, sehingga film-filmnya tidak pernah diputar di bioskop komersial. Beberapa film tersebut berjudul Blind Pig who Wants to Fly (2008, Fipresci Award), Postcards from the Zoo (2012, Berlinale), Rocket Rain (2013, Karlovy Vary). Pada tahun 2015, ia merilis tiga film pendek berjudul The Fox Exploits the Tiger’s Might (Cannes), Following Diana (Toronto I); Love Story Not (Busan). Tahun 2016, film dokumenternya yang berjudul Cuts diputar untuk pertama kali di IDFA. Tahun 2013, ia memprakarsai berdirinya Kolektif, sebuah platform distribusi film yang mempromosikan karya independen. Kolektif bermitra dengan para sineas dan komunitas di seluruh Indonesia serta menyelenggarakan hingga 250 pemutaran film dalam satu tahun. Bersama Edwin, tahun 2015, ia mendirikan Kinosaurus, sebuah tempat pemutaran art house (untuk memutar film-film art house) dengan fokus mempromosikan film dan keragamannya kepada publik secara umum. Tahun 2016, bersama Muhammad Zaidy, ia mendirikan Palari Films; rumah produksi ini telah mengerjakan Possessive (2017, tahap pascaproduksi) dan Vengeance is Mine, All Others Pay Cash melalui Asian Project Market (APM) 2016 yang memenangkan Busan Award sebagai proyek paling menjanjikan. Kedua karya tersebut disutradarai oleh Edwin. Palari Films berupaya untuk memproduksi film yang berkualitas dan sekaligus merilisnya di bioskop komersial.
