The 6-minute-42-second film “Haba Paleh” tells the story of four friends, Rahmad, Muji, Leman, and Amir, who discuss the Tsunami Rumors in Aceh on December 26, 2004, that killed many people ranging from toddlers to the elderly. Women lost their husbands and children. Men lost their wives and children. And children lost their parents. Based on Jerry D Grey’s theory, Muji and Leman believe that the Aceh Tsunami resulted from a western conspiracy against Aceh. Without realizing it, their conversation about it gives a wrong impression to Amir, a victim of the 2004 Tsunami.
