Synopsis
Sinopsis
Sandi (25), a young man and neighborhood leader from a tribe of nomads in the interior of Kalimantan, decided to settle permanently and adapt to technology despite limited network access in the forest. As the forest shrinks and hunting becomes more difficult, Sandi is trying to make sure that the people who still live in the forest can access health and education services. This trend started when Sandi lost two of her children. However, not all Punan Batu communities in the forest welcomed her intentions. In the end, Sandi decided to resign from the position of RT head. Sandi, as a young Punan Batu tribesman who has made peace with the old and modern conditions, aspires for his children to go to school in the city, but his family refuses because of the distance. Sandi, who is worried about the future of Punan Batu, can only hope that the people who still live in the Sajau Benau forest can get proper attention and not disturb the forest.

Biografi Sutradara
Rohil Fidiawan Mokmin & Anggrino Gilang Verlando
Rohil Fidiawan Mokmin studied political science at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), is a journalist, writer and film director. As a filmmaker he shows an interest in historical stories, culture, anthropology, politics of the sultanate period and collecting memories of traditions close to him in the cinema space. Her short film entitled Perempuan Dalam Anyaman was selected as a nominee for Jakarta Film Week 2024 on the Indonesian Women's Screen Stories (LCPI) Indonesiana.TV program. Currently, he founded the Bona Fortuna Cinema community for a production space, story idea lab, and alternative screening space based in North Kalimantan.
Anggrino Gilang Verlando, born in Tanjung Selor 30 July 1995. Graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Communications from Muhammadiyah University of Malang. Currently Gino works as Head of Audio Visual at "naraubung.id" and is active in various organizations. One of them is Chair of the Film and New Media Division of the North Kalimantan Arts Council. Gino has also won several awards in video making competitions.
