ASIAN FILM AWARDS
The Asian Film Awards (AFA) was inaugurated in 2007 to recognize excellence Asian films and talents. It is the flagship event of the Asian Film Awards Academy (AFAA), which was jointly founded by the Busan, Hong Kong and Tokyo International Film Festivals with the aim of celebrating excellence in Asian cinema. For 2024, the AFAA will hold an International Film Camp to nurture young Asian filmmakers from HK, Macau and the Asia region. They will develop short film projects to production level. Successful pitches will receive one of eight production funds each worth HK$300,000 (about US$38,000). The short films will be will be packaged into a feature-length program for screening at international film festivals.

mylab+@Jogja is tailor made workshop for teams of scriptwriters, directors, producers to work on the script and project development on a fiction feature film with international experts in scriptwriting, directing, producing, distribution, and markets/festivals. Each project selected would be at the early stage of development with scriptwriter, filmmaker, producer attached with a feature film aimed at regional & global audiences. A total of 6 projects will be selected and the projects would be focused on international co-productions with Indonesia. The workshop will take place from 24 to 30 November 2023 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, in partnership with the Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival (JAFF). There will be a second online consultation and speed dating sessions at the end of February 2024. mylab+@Jogja is organised by the mylab+ and Yayasan Cipta Citra Indonesia and supported by Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology Republic of Indonesia, Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival (JAFF) & the regional audiovisual cooperation in South-East Asia of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France.
