Cinematographer extraordinaire

Teoh Gay Hian is a Malaysian cinematographer based in Indonesia. He has shot films by directors like Garin Nugroho, Yosep Anggi Noen, Riri Riza, Kamila Andini, and Ho Yuhang. His latest work is 24 Hours with Gaspar (Yosep Anggi Noen), which screened in JAFF 18. 

In the Cinematography Talks session, Teoh shared his long journey in the development of Indonesian cinema as well as the cinematography techniques he used in 24 Hours with Gaspar.

At the end of the session, Teoh was given the JAFF Honorary Award for significant contributions in shaping Indonesian cinematography.
