Synopsis

A small district in the north of Yogyakarta City famously called “Italy” is home to a football team called PSS SLEMAN, which is supported by its fans. Brigata Curva Sud, also known as bcsxpss.1976, is a group of PSS SLEMAN supporters who embrace the “ultras” path. A group of supporters whose motto is “Give us 90 minutes, and we’ll give you a lifetime.” The motto is more than just a phrase; their support doesn’t end after 90 minutes. Brigata Curva Sud is well-known in Indonesian football because of their creativity in supporting their team. It has eight influential manifestos that help them stay in line and loyally support PSS SLEMAN.

Synopsis

As a huge Arema fan, Pacho is very passionate about supporting the football club, just like his late father.

 

Just like any devoted fan Pacho wears Arema’s merchandise and talks about football all the time wherever he is. Conflict starts when Bogel, Pacho’s classmate, often makes fun of him about his ambitions to be an Arema player. His mother is not supportive of his dream too.

 

The situation got worse when Pacho revealed that he had never attended Arema’s match in the stadium despite his claims to be a die-hard Aremania. It creates a burden for Pacho and causes his friends who have attended Aremania match before to bully him.

Aremania is the name of the supporters of the football club Arema FC. Their form of loyalty is manifested in positive support, like buying tickets Arema players’s wage, discouraging violent behaviour inside and outside the stadium by singing their song. This positive support has been ingrained in the people of Malang and transformed into a subculture. So, talking about Aremania is not only about supporters. This community originated from the perspective that football is entertainment for everyone in Malang.

 

With a large numbers of members, the people of Malang saw football as a unifying medium which lead to the establishment of the Arema football club. This is what makes the people of Malang proud of Arema. Aremania is the 12th player for Arema FC.

Ayesha Alma Almera

Born in Yogyakarta, Ayesha Alma Almera (b.1996) has been familiar with films because he lives in close proximity to one of Yogyakarta’s old and renowned theatres. Ayesha found his passion in moving visuals when he entered university, making several short films with his campus community. Kepaten: A Beautiful Conversation and Golden Age are the most recent short films he has made. Aside from that, he had also been involved in short film projects in Yogyakarta, such as Loz Jogjakartoz and Tilik. After graduating, Ayesha started to deepen his knowledge in films by taking the Cinema Crash Course held by Kinosaurus Jakarta. He is currently running a production house called Otakanan Pictures.

“Players and coaches may change, but supporters will remain loyal to their beloved team until the end of their life”. Lintang Sae Martasari is a football supporter of her pride football team, PSIM Yogyakarta. Lintang is a member of Brajamolek (women supporters of PSIM Yogyakarta) and serves as vice chairman. She never fails to watch and support her team. Even though she often gets mocked by people who see the football supporters as gangs of vandals, rioters, and brawlers. On top of that, she also struggles against the stigma associated with female supporters.

In 2021, Felina Arni graduated from MMTC Multi Media Academy Yogyakarta. Brajamolek is her first film. Before directing, she used to be a member of a band's music video production team in Yogyakarta. After working on a college assignment, her concern for the stigma towards female football supporters encourages her to make her own film about it. With guidance from her lecturer and the team, she makes a film which she hopes will positively impact cinephiles.
