Synopsis

Toya is a girl who wants to make batik, but her work is not as good as the student of Madam Teja’s Batik Studio. That is because Toya does not have an Art Spirit so she has to go on an adventure to find a Batik Spirit. Ironically, Toya can only get a Martial Arts Spirit, named Gajag. At first, Toya is hesitant to be one with Gajag, but slowly she realizes that her Art Spirit can show her a unique way to make batik.

Andra Fembriarto (born 1986) is a filmmaker who just finished his first novel in 2021. Andra graduated with a major in Communications from the University of Technology Sydney. Andra's works always relate to the identity of a person who is moved by Nusantara or Indonesian Archipelago. He built a private studio called Studio Amarana and most of his works are short films, such as Pohon Penghujan, Utan Rambutan, and Cipak Cipuk (all of them received Citra Awards nominations for best film and best short animation). Besides that, Andra also produces web-series Jalan-Jalan Men and Jurnal Indonesia Kaya.

Synopsis

Haryo (35 years old) plays the role of both father and mother for his only son, Riyan (10 years). Haryo works as a mobile rice mill worker. Haryo has a loyal customer named Etik (36 years old), a rich widow and a prominent grain collector in his village who likes Haryo.

Besides that, Haryo is a wayang orang artist, (classical Javanese dance theatre). In his role as a performer, Haryo boasts to his son that he always gets to play Arjuna. Haryo always indoctrinates his son to imitate the character of Arjuna, because he wants his son to become a real man in the future. But in reality, Haryo never invites Riyan to watch the performance. Because Haryo doesn’t want Riyan to know a secret.

Before working on "ARJUNA" with Kompro which is his comeback in the form of Idealist Film Works, in 2021 and 2022 Jihad Adjie worked on 4 short films for Indonesiana TV together with the Sangiran Ancient Human Site Conservation Center.

Synopsis

Tiwi (8) is disappointed in herself because she fails to get a part in a shampoo commercial. She thinks she must be ugly, and that is why she fails to earn the money to help her father repair his three-wheeled motorbike. One afternoon, Tiwi and her father, Candra (40), are on their way home from his work when they see an advertisement on a banner that announces a kite-flying competition with the total prize of five million rupiah. That’s when she gets the inspiration to help her father. Because she doesn’t want to trouble her father, she decides to make her own kite and create her own string from her own hair. She has learnt how to tie hair into strings because she has been accompanying her father to tie strands of hair as his side job every night. But Tiwi ties the hair secretly while her father works as a hair washer at a nearby salon

Devina Sofiyanti is a filmmaker and lecturer based in Jakarta. The woman who was born and raised in Bandung continued her studies at the Jakarta Art Institute and the New York Film Academy. While preparing for her film debut Heirlooms, Devina also teaches at the Binus Film Department and also writes several series. His series works that have been broadcast in general include: Sore: Istri dari Future (2017), Rewrite (Viu Original, 2019), Jadi Ngaji (GoPlay Original, 2020) and Ustad Millennial (WeTV Original, 2021). In 2019 he was also selected to participate in Full Circle Lab Indonesia LOCK 2019 and FLY Film Lab Busan 2019. Now he is also involved as a co-writer in Luhki Herwanayogi's Our Son project (Locarno Open Doors 2021).

Synopsis

Rose’s disability (deaf) becomes a challenge for them to communicate when she is facing this new situation. The lack of access to sanitary napkins at the school and the long distance to find a shop from the school become their challenge. At the same time, Alvian and Toni are challenged by a male friend who wants them to look macho. The dilemma between looking macho and helping their best friend is a reality they have to deal with.
