Synopsis
Sinopsis
BOLD is an “alter”, who anonymously posts nudes and performs lascivious acts on the Internet. Bold suffers an existential crisis and confronts his daddy issues. With the help of his talking cat and hallucinogenic drugs, BOLD takes a deep dive into the chaos of the Internet. Seeking refuge in the arms of strange men, BOLD masturbates his way to true happiness. Caught in this tangle of tech and social media, he wonders to his cat about his place in the world. If he spreads his wings, can he fly?

Director's Biography
Biografi Sutradara
Whammy Alcazaren
Director and Production Designer, Whammy ALCAZAREN graduated from the University of the Philippines Film Institute with a distinction for Best Production Thesis. COLOSSAL, his thesis and first feature film, was awarded Best Cinematography at the Gawad Urian 2013. Since then he has worked consistently as a production designer for film, television, and advertisements. The Young Critics Circle has awarded him Best Achievement in Visual Design twice for his work with Thesa Tang for the Cinemalaya Festival film “DAGITAB” and the Berlinale Generations film “DEATH OF NINTENDO” by Raya Martin. FISTING: NEVER TEAR US APART is his third feature film for which he won Best Director and Jury prize at the Cinema One Originals Film Festival 2018. Recently, he won Best Production Design in the Metro Manila Film Festival Awards for “WHETHER THE WEATHER IS FINE”. BOLD EAGLE is his first short film.
