SYNOPSIS


Four cashier aunties lock themselves up inside the supermarket late at night to protest against their job losses as the chain transits into a cashless system.

Empat kasir perempuan paruh baya mengunci diri di dalam supermarket saat tengah malam sebagai bentuk protes akan kebijakan supermarket yang mengubah sistem menjadi cashless sehingga mengakibatkan mereka kehilangan pekerjaan.

Tan Wei Ting

Tan Wei Ting works as a freelance screenwriter and an offline editor in Singapore. Her short film credentials include Passenger (Writer & Editor), The Longest-Distance Relationship (Producer), Open Sky (Co-writer), My Father After Dinner (Editor), VOTE (Writer), The Pursuit of a Happy Human Life (Co-editor), Still is Time (Editor), which have been selected to screen at multiple festivals and won various awards. In recent years, she has also written her debut stage play Split Up, and adapted four local literature text into her first feature film One Hour to Daylight under Singapore Writer’s Festival.

is Wei Ting’s directorial debut.

Tan Wei Ting bekerja sebagai penulis naskah lepas dan penyunting offline di Singapura. Film pendeknya yang membuat ia dikenal antara lain Passenger (Penulis dan Penyunting), The Longest-Distance Relationship (Produser), Open Sky (Co-writer), My Father After Dinner (Penyunting), VOTE (Penulis), The Pursuit of a Happy Human Life (Co-editor), Still is Time (Penyunting), yang telah ditayangkan di pelbagai festival dan memenangkan berbagai penghargaan. Dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, ia memulai debutnya dengan menulis naskah drama berjudul Split Up. Ia mengadaptasi empat karya sastra lokal dalam film feature pertamanya yang berjudul One Hour to Daylight di Singapore Writer’s Festival.

CA$H adalah debut Wei Ting sebagai sutradara.
