SYNOPSIS


A Burmese family of four is living in Japan. One day they get a letter that will change their lives forever… Based on a true story, this is a tale of love that across the borders.

Akio Fujimoto

Writer-director Akio Fujimoto received a psychology degree before pursuing filmmaking at the Osaka Visual Arts Academy. He earned accolades for his first short, “Psychedelic Family” (2012). In 2013, he began planning his debut feature, “Passage of Life.” It won the Spirit of Asia Award and Best Asian Future Film Award upon its world premiere at the 2017 Tokyo International Film Festival. Fujimoto produced the Japan-Myanmar coproduction “My Country My Home” (2017), and is now based in Yangon, Myanmar, involved in TV programs, documentaries and preparing for his next project

Penulis sekaligus sutradara Akio Fujimoto telah menerima gelar psikologi sebelum menekuni bidang pembuatan film di Osaka Visual Arts Academy. Ia mendapatkan penghargaan untuk film pendek pertamanya, Psychedelic Family (2012). Pada tahun 2013, ia mulai merencanakan debut film panjangnya, Passage of Life. Ia memenangkan Spirit of Asia Award dan Best Asian Future Film Award pada penayangan perdananya di Festival Film Internasional Tokyo 2017. Fujimoto memproduksi kolaborasi Jepang-Myanmar My Country My Home (2017), dan sekarang tinggal di Yangon, Myanmar.
