Synopsis
Sinopsis
A family lunch filled with happiness to Mr & Mrs Pahala Simbolon (Menzano & Marlia Hardy), reuniting again with their children and grandsons starts to spark some unfinished problems. Beyond the fears of being abandoned and Mrs Simbolon’s sickness, accompanied by their youngest daughter Bungalan (Christine Hakim), they’re heading back to the land of Batak to find the family roots and pieces of the past to heal.”

Biografi Sutradara
Slamet Rahardjo
Starting his career on the theater stage, he then stepped into the film industry in 1971 by playing in Wadjah Seorang Lak-Laki, Teguh Karya's directorial debut film. He won the 1973 PWI IV Runner-up through his second film, “Cinta Pertama” (1973), then the 1975 FFI (Indonesian Film Festival) best actor through “Ranjang Pengantin” (1974). Throughout his career, he has acted in more than 50 films and received various nominations and awards at national and international festivals. He received 26 FFI Citra Award nominations for the categories of Best Male Supporting Actor, Best Male Lead Actor, Best Music Director, Best Screenwriter, and Best Director, and won seven of them, including Citra Award the Lifetime Achievement at the 2014 FFI.
