Vera Lestafa was studied cinematography at Jakarta Institute of Art. Her second short film “Return To Sender” officials selection in Short Short film festival in Japan and South Social Film Festival in London at 2015 She continue her works as Director of Photography for documentary and commercials, in 2013 she photographed short documentary "Chocolate Comedy" official selection in IDFA for program emerging voices from South East Asia. in early 2014 she photographed a feature Documentary “Mama Soil” win best feature documentary at FFD 2015, and selected at Europalia Arts Festival. as director of photography for “Mudik” official selection for film festival and award macao and gained 9 nominations in Festival film indonesia 2020 including nominated best cinematography. at 2022 she won best cinematography for Desenzano film festival for “the sea calls for me”.
