Diego Batara Mahameru, is a filmmaker based in Jakarta, Indonesia. He fell in love with films when he was 7 after watching Jurassic Park (Steven Spielberg). What he likes most is 'Escapism' and 'Emotion'. When they are combined together that becomes a film. He has worked as a director of 4 short films. One of his major works is titled Calon (The candidate, 2015), got selected from 5 different Asian Film Festivals including Jogia-Netpac Asian Film Festival, Aceh Film Festival, and many more. His latest film “The Nameless Boy” got selected in Balinale International Film Festival. Diego is also participated in several Southeast Asia film workshop including FLY ASEAN-ROK Film Leader Incubator 2016 and MOFILM Academy for Southeast Asian Filmmaker.
