SYNOPSIS

This is a short documentary film about Tong Setan (Demon Barrel) or as well known as Roda Gila (Mad Wheel) riders. Eko and Abdul have made a living from this so called rider profession for a couple of years. There’s also Jeglek, one of their friends, the organizer of Pasar Malam (Night Market) where this Tong Setan takes place. So this film talks not only about Tong Setan, but also Pasar Malam (Night Market). This film is inspired by a song entitled ‘Iblis Jalanan’ from Indonesian band Bangkutaman, a song which is also played in the film.

I (Salman Farizi) was born in 1981 in Jakarta - Indonesia. I spend my whole life in this capital city. I like everything has visuals, such as music videos, video arts, commercial videos, and especially films, because “Life is a film”.

I graduated from Graphic Design from college, but I have never use my Graphic Design skills since a very long time. It’s not that I don’t like Designs, but I just love Moving Pictures more. I even make a music video for my final essay.

So I decided to create my own Production House with couple of my best friends called Gundala Pictures in 2008. We have done various projects including films, music videos, commercial videos, and kinds of art videos. I also have worked in various company such as Media Fashion, Production House, Corporate Company, as a Video Editor, Videographer, Director, and Producer. Today, I work as a freelance Producer.
