SYNOPSIS

Melati and Ilalang are siblings who work at Bagan, a big craft anchored in bays for years. One day, the boss comes visit the Bagan to take the fish to sell at the Mainland. Melati is always in charge to load the fish to the boss’ boat. When Melati loads the fish to the boat, the boss at The Bagan starts to harass her brother, than rapes him. This unpleasant situtation caught by Melati. She tries to stop boss by attacking him. Unfortunately, she failed. The boss has become eager more to rape Ilalang and forces Melati to watch them while he does it to the boy.

Sinung Winahyoko, born in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, in March 21st 1984, After graduated from Indonesian Communication Academy in Yogyakarta, he start his career in early 2007 as
Documentary Filmaker, for some Behind The Scene Movies. In 2010, he began to directing self produced music videos, and Stage Director for some music events. And start made his first
Short Film “Memoria” in 2010. The year after, he directing TV Commercials until now. His interest in exploring art media outside music video and TV
Commercial Industry, made him part of Yogyakarta Biennale Art Exhibition in 2014, he made Game Application as an art form called “No Oil For No Country, the nation trading game to control the war for oil in a gamble application game. In 2015, he direct his second Short Film “The Taste of Fences,
which nominated for Best Art Direction in Odense International Film Festival Denmark, screened in Human Rights International Film Festical in Italy, Jogja Asian Film Festival and Busan
International Short Film Festival. In the same year, as part of the Taste of Fences research about
tradition meets modernity in present time generations, he made an installation for 2015 Yogyakarta Artweeks Exhibition called
“The Zoo”, a 3D glasses visual diorama of a pregnant Javanese girl eating KFC in a cage.
And in 2017, he made his third Short Film “Madonna”
